In reply to previous review ! The Camps are not cheap but they are two weeks long and in a pro recording studio.I went to a different Rock camp last year run by a bloke who knows Frank Kearns but it was terrible ...standing around in a church hall and in a group with an 8yr old! ..The Frank Kearns rockschool camps are the only real option in Ireland all the others came after he set it up. If you are doing the camp make sure you bring your Ipod touch as the studio has wireless ;-) great for looking at Youtube and things. Also get your tee shirt early as the sizes can run out! read more >>
rockschool is the highlight of my holidays! in my opinion its the best place to be whether you want to just jam, record, meet new people, learn about the music industry or even just explore yourself as a musician, rockschool has it all! =] the atmosphere's amazing, the tudors are excellent and getting that CD at the end of the 2 weeks keeps all your memories and work with you forever, Frank Kearns certainly has made the perfect formula for a kick ass rockschool ;D read more >>
I had tried everywhere looking for a reliable place to learn guitar and came across Rockschool and joined up last March. Since then I have formed a band and played two gigs in my school and already am planning on recording two of my songs at the next rockschool camp in October. Respect to Martin Doyle you are a legend teacher - I hadn't a clue but within even the first month I was confident enough to play Kooks and Radiohead! ..This is the best place to learn ..In SALT recording studio -Feels great walking into the control room for my lesson every week ;-) read more >>
