Absolutely fantastic. Love this cinema. The chairs are sooo comfortable. Excellent range of snacks, including a haagen daz counter with a place to sit near by. Amazing pick and mix. It's a little pricey for the cinema but they do have special prices for kids/senior citizens/students. They have a fantastic early bird-€3 to see selected films in the kid's corner. They also do more mornings and nights for particular groups. Tiered seating so you get a great view wherever you sit! read more >>

Love this place great location, great venue and great layout. Prices can be little bit more expensive than the usual except if your willing to pay this for the quality then you will love it. Only cinema in cork which will have the film you want to see in and times are normal to every other cinema read more >>

Like the popcorn like the cinema itself. Not too bad to get to when the days traffic has fizzled away. It is expensive when yer getting popcorn as well but their pretty much all expensive eh. Cheaper than going out on the lash is how I justify it on a weekend night read more >>

Very nice cinema here on the grounds of the Cresent shopping center. The price in the shop is quite expensive though. But the the screens are very nice. All in all quite pleasurable!!

Thanks to Truvo sending me free admission tickets I may give a more recent review of the Omniplex Longford. Well its still in the same place, which is always a good start. Bridge Street Longford.
The Staff were lovely . Youthful smiles all round, polite and helpful.
Very Clean and fresh, other than the array of popcorn spilt on the carpet infront of the kiosk counter.
Which was being slowly ground in by all the customers. I really wanted to go look for a broom but I brushed that thought aside ( escuse the pun ) as I purchased my large pre-popped and plastic bag stored popcorn..yep they pre pop it and bag it . Perhaps that is why they put so much salt on it that by the end of the carton you have completely pickled prune lips..no joking!
I stepped to the side of the counter to open my little container, yep I had melted my own butter at home before we set off ,because they no longer put the melted butter on the popcorn.
Whose a clever bunny then :) yum I had the ingredients for a perfect visit to the flicks :)
We entered cinema 3, which I don't believe I was ever in before, it is smaller than the others.
The seating was very comfortable with semi-reclining chairs and the floor was clean.
One Toy Story later the floor was'nt so clean, a personal hate of mine is the way customers disguard rubbish on the floor in cinemas. Honestly, what does it take to pick it up and take it to the bin at the exit door when the film is finished.
The Toilets were spotless, 10 out of 10 for that , the last time I visited the whole cinema had become very drab and grubby it seriously needed a good spring clean. This it has definately had :)
I think I'm a fan now. read more >>

They stopped doing melted hot butter on the popcorn ..need I say more.
I don't get to the cinema often , but when i do i look forward to hot melted butter on my popcorn and the last time I went they had none .
Apparently they stopped doing it..come on people get it together! Other than that its an average cinema situated on Bridge street which is at the lower end of the town right beside the river Camlin .
So if there is no film of you're choice you can cross the road and enjoy the walk down by the river which will lead you to the Mall, which is the local park. If walking with small children the high river side is unprotected from the bridge for quite a distance .
The cinema shop has a reasonably choice of nibbles during film, If you do not want to pay as much there is a newsagents just up the road opposite the Army barracks. The seating is comfortable and the toilets are clean. What more could you ask for going to the flicks..?....perhaps.. Hot melted butter on my popcorn! read more >>

Omniplex cinema in Mahon point is huge; it has 13 screens and usually shows all the big movies. Popcorn here is not so great, but other than that, you will have an excellent view of the screen and plenty of leg room, only other downfall is the blue lights on the roof in each screen highlighting the steps, these can be annoying if you sit at the edge of the row... so move in a few sets, sit back and enjoy! read more >>

I've been using the codes from O2 Treats here recently. With the code a cinema ticket is only €4. The codes can only be used from Monday to Thursday but it's still great value. You can get one code per week from O2 Treats. Free parking while at the cinema is a huge plus too.
Annoying that the popcorn costs more than the cinema ticket. read more >>

If you are planning on seeing a movie at a cinema in Cork, this is the top place to go to. The inside of the theatre and ticket area is very clean and staff are usually polite and efficient. The seating inside is very comfortable and theres plenty of space and leg room which is always a plus in any cinema! The food/snack prices are a bit expensive which is the only downside but its overall a much better experience than the other cinemas so its worth it. read more >>

Longford Cineplex is a very basic cinema. They play movies from afternoon until late at night every day and offer the basic selection of snacks (popcorn, chocolate, drinks) The seating inside the theatre could be upgraded as its not the most comfortable. The bathrooms are always clean and very bright and have a marble finish which is nice. I mostly have 2 issues with this cinema, 1: they never play movies the same weekend that they are released, 2. tickets are too expensive. read more >>

Not the greates place to be honest the cinema is somewhat a lot smaller than your average omniplex. This place is over priced and the service is a disgrace. Definetly will not go there again!

The best cinema in Cork in my opinion, the seats are bigger then other cinemas and it is way more comfortable, also there is more of a dip between each seat and the one in front which makes the view way better, no matter how tall the person in front is. It has loads of screens too so you're sure to find whatever movie you're looking for. Bit pricey though is the only downside especially for popcorn and drinks. read more >>

Very nice big cinema here located on the grounds of the Cresent shopping center which is very handy that after a day shopping you can call in and watch one of the films on show in one of the 12 screens. The value is pretty good here and they do have student tickets for during the college semester which gives €2 off if i remember correctly. read more >>

Very good for family. The kids club movies are the ones showing right at 12:00 on saturday and Sunday, only 3 euro/person - at least when you book online! Very good value.
They usually have fairly recent movies playing. The only unfun bit is the waiting in line if there is a new movie out for the first few evenings. The food isn't great but fairly typical cinema food.
Seats are angled enough so you can see well, if bringing a buggy there are stairs in most of the theaters inside so be prepared to be there in enough time to not have to move too far away from the level enterance seating. : )
Good hallways for walking up and down with the kids if the movie is too long for them to sit still or gets too loud. :) read more >>

Really is the only cinema left to go to in Cork which is a pity because it can get very busy on certain nights! Popcorm could be more buttery (its so much better than salty popcorn) but its a very clean cinema, lots of variety in films and screening times as well as food and ice cream and coffee. Automated ticket machines are handy and the 3D screen is a massive pull. read more >>

Omniplex Mahon Point is the only cinema left to go to in Cork. Comfortable seats, plenty parking and wide range of films. The Gate and The Reel Cinema are both very run down, skeleton staff and badly in need of a renovation. Also a better range of food nachos, ice-cream counter etc but its really expensive so be prepared it will probably will end up costing as much as a night out here if your going to eat. read more >>

This is the only place ill go to watch a film! All the other cinemas in Cork are horrible. Its cheaper to head to the cinema during the week with their student discounts which is handy, however the prices here are still pretty expensive. Food is pretty expensive too , but their popcorn is just too nice to say no to, so i get it every time :) The omniplex also has really great comfy seats and lots of leg room compared to the other cinemas making it my number1 cinema in Cork read more >>

I really like this place but the only thing holding back the 5th star is the price. Popcorn and icecream especially are amazing. read more >>

On the good side they have comfy seats with good visability from every angle. They also have an amazing haagen daaz stand.
The tickets and food are overpriced. The staff are slow and unhelpful.
This place is badly run. The show times for kids are too close together causing chaos in the foyer. We were waiting around with our small children to see UP for almost an hour. We had to queue outside until five mins before the show time just to get in. There were people everywhere pushing and skipping queues, and they were the parents! There isn't a wide range of confection and its totally overpriced. Get stuff in shop before going in! read more >>

I disagree with Brid on this one - I dont think this is an expensive cinema, purely cause ALL cinemas are expensive. Expect to pay E9 for an adult ticket - pretty standard. That goes for food too - expensive, but all cinemas are. Ice cream selection is top quality - Haagen Dazs, cant go wrong!
The best thing about Mahon Point, and why Im giving it 5 stars is the seats. They are big enough for me, which means I can watch the film and really relax. I always go here if I can. read more >>

One of the more expensive cinemas around - it's like 3 euro for a bottle of water here!! The popcorn is good though and they have the huge size drinks that most cinemas have. Also a large pick n mix here aswell as ice creams.
The food court is right beside the cinema aswell so you'll probably find something there if you're hungry.
Large seats aswell at the cinema - for tall people!! Nice cinema all in all. read more >>
