Passed my test today 22/03/2011), woooo hoo!! All thanks must go to Kevin. I was not feeling confident at all beforehand but then his instruction and his chilled out manner helped me through. He explains things in a clear and straightforward way which makes all the difference.
My own car's NCT was just out of date so I had to use his car. In no time at all I was feeling relaxed behind the wheel.

I had done my test a number of times and was just about to give up hope completely on ever passing. Then I found Kevin, he is extremely good at relating what exactly the tester is looking for from you and breaking it down to a level which is easy to understand. He is good at tailoring the lessons to suit you and establishes a learning technique that is personal to your specific requirements. I want to praise and thank Kevin for being a fantastic instructor. I took lessons for 6 months with Kevin as I had lost all my confidence after crashing my car. I had a fear of reversing due to the crash and Kevin gave me lots of encouragment which helped me forget about the crash. Kevin made me feel comfortable and confident driving, he is easy going which made my lessons so enjoyable. I took my driving test on March 9th and passed with flying colors, it was my first attempt at the test!!! I would recommend Kevin to anyone as he is a brilliant instructor!!! I found the National Driving School to be a great help in helping me pass my driving test on my first go.Kevin was really helpful and made me feel really calm and relaxed throughout my hole test. I passed my driving test on 8th February and I have to say that my three lessons and pre test with Kevin really helped. The lessons improved my confidence and I actually felt like I had a real chance at passing my test. I passed my driving test today thanks to the RSA Driving School. It was my first attempt and there's no way I could have done it without having had all of my lessons and pre-tests with them. I had never driven until I started lessons with them and was very nervous to begin with, but they made me feel so relaxed and gave me such confidence that I was driving by myself in under 10 lessons. A year later when it was time for my test I had no hesitation in booking my pre-test with them. Naturally, I had picked up one or two bad habits but with their expertise they quickly helped me to correct them. They were very thorough in preparing me for all aspects of the test, not just the driving. The questions we went over were the exact ones the tester asked me and being so well prepared helped to calm my nerves. I really wouldn't have passed without them. I have already recommended them to two people and would happily recommend them to anyone else. read more >>

My first language is not english and Kevin was very patient and easy to understand. He gave me very useful advice and without his help, i surely wouldnt have passed my test. I had my Ukrainian Driving license, couldn't just change it for an Irish one, as Ukraine is not part of EU. Had to pass driving test again. I was very nervous to do it, just didn't like to be tested. I was experienced driver, had my own bad driving habits. I was glad i had the best instructor - Kevin, who helped me to polish off my driving skills and showed what i needed to pass my driving test. The web-site helped a lot, where you can read all the questions you might be asked and you can see exactly what you have to show at your test. And i did it with confidence and passed! Being in my mid thirties I was quite late in starting to drive, and what I had done I was basically self taught with a few sporadic lessons. I had picked up every bad habit that is out there. Kevin was highly recommended to me by people in similar situations. He started by actually explaining what driving is all about. He tailored his teaching to suit me and explained what I was doing and why I was doing it. As the lessons went on he crafted each to work on parts I was weak on, which was, well, everything! The key for me was that I practiced after each lesson on the topics we covered and it made a hugh difference. So before the test on the 1st of November in Tallaght, we did a few mock tests which were really helpful and really prepared me, as the areas I was weak on were then pointed out. I passed my test a week ago in Tallaght thanks to Kevin and his ability to show how to approach the driving test in the right way. I knew how to drive before, but just in 3 hours Kevin was able to teach me things required to pass the test without any issues. His tips are very valuable to someone going for the test first time.

Went for a few lessons before reading the reviews of Kevin on this website, and thank god i saw them!went to Kevin and he spotted my mistekes and failings straight away and showed me how to correct them, i only had 3 lessons with him before my test but those lessons were worth more than 100 with the other fella i tried!he put me completely at ease,so much so that i wasnt nervous going for my test. his advice was clear precise and direct, i knew what to focus on and because of this i passed my test on my first go!kevin's the only man to go to if you want to pass your test, simple as. thanks again, Edel. read more >>

I had a week to prepare for my first driving test and had half accepted i wouldnt pass, i got my first lesson and Kevin assured me it was easily possible for me to pass first time. Kevin got straight to the point and knew exactly what was expected from me. My name is Ilana, and I just passed my test on the 22nd of Sep 2010, and I am SO SO SO SO HAPPY :D It was my third test, so its Third time lucky.. well not really lucky but actually the help from KEVIN was the reason that I passed !!!!!!!
I lack confidence, and I had a few driving instructors previously but none of them helped me as Kevin did. He saw my problem straight away,which was not enough observation and lack of confidence and helped me with that!

Just passed my driving test in Tallaght on 22nd September 2010 on my first attempt, and all thanks to Kevin’s professionalism and expertise!
Having read great reviews, I had no hesitation in booking 10 hours as a total beginner. Kevin’s patience and positive attitude allowed me to progress with confidence which I had lacked on the road. His teaching skills were tailored to suit my personality, and his tips on pre test lessons were priceless including spot on routes. He nailed every aspect of the test to perfection, and he knew exactly what would be expected from me on the day.

Hello everyone! This is happy Tom from Poland who passed the exam on 25th of August 2010 in Tallaght.
I passed this exam only THANKS TO KEVIN - the best driving instructor I have ever met.
When I came for the first lesson I told Kevin how stressfull and totally unenjoyable driving for me was and that I would never be a driver.
After the very first lesson I knew, this man was gonna change it!
With great patience and positive atitude a few lessons with Kevin helpded me gain self confidence in the car.
He gave me so many fantastic pieces of advice which I employed not only during the exam but they also in everyday driving.
Passing driving test didn't improve my skills but it gave me peace of mind.
Two days after the exam me and my friends began went for the 8-day road trip around Ireland. All together I drove without any problems about 1500 km.
Once again I want to stress that it was Kevin who made me a driver.

I passed my test on the 16th of June in Tallaght. I had failed it twice before that once in Carlow and the second time in Kilkenny.I did six lessons with Kevin. I passed my driving test last Monday, 28th June, thanks to Kevin. It was my 6th test, having failed 3 of them by mounting the kerb on my reverse around the corner! I had taken plenty of lessons with other instructors but never seemed to be able to nail the manoeuvre. Kevin showed me how to reverse around the corner properly on our first lesson and then just polished up the rest of my driving with a very test focused approach. His advice is very practical and relevant to what the tester is looking for, and he helped to calm my nerves no end. Passed my test last Thursday 20th May absolutely delighted - only driving four months so took some lessons with Kevin and did a pretest - he was exactly right in all his advice and told me exactly where my mistakes were - am only 18 and was my first time to take the test so am over the moon. I will definately be recommending Kevin to all my mates as he was fantastic in every way.

After failing several driving tests over the years in both The Netherlands and Dublin I decided to give it one last shot with another driving instructor and I was lucky enough to get into contact with Kevin. He immediately focussed on the things that matter most to pass the test. He kept saying that if I would focus on those things I would pass. I did the test yesterday and passed with only two marks! I used these guys for my driving test. They are very professional, give good advice and make you feel totally comfortable. I have used other driving schools where the instructor prattles on without paying attention to your driving, but these guys let you concentrate on your driving and give good pointers when you need them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and have referred friends and work colleagues to these guys and all were just as satisfied as me. Good luck :-) read more >>

Cost of lessons: €35 an hour; Learning time (as a total beginner): 2 months; Number of lessons: 25; Kevin as your instructor: absolutely priceless! I just passed my test this morning after two months learning with Kevin. I was a complete beginner and had to learn in a really short space of time + I didn’t have a car to practice in. Kevin was an excellent teacher from the very first lesson – patient, clear, and a unique ability to understand how I personally needed to be instructed to learn how to drive properly and pass my test. He even predicted my exact test results in terms of marks. He also goes way beyond the call of duty of a regular instructor – he gave me a double lesson on Easter Monday when I called him at short notice worried about my test. If you decide to take lessons from someone else, you are really missing out. A lot of people have the RSA qualification, but that doesn’t mean they reach the same high standards as Kevin. I passed my test today on lessons alone thanks to Kevin of the National Driving School, and I’m over the moon ! I have had a dilemma in relation to driving for some time.
I had no car and buying one was not the solution either as I had nobody with a full licence who was free to accompany me when driving. (We all know it is now illegal to drive on a provisional licence without a fully licensed driver in the car right?). Anyway, I spoke to Kevin and explained my situation. He gave me excellent advice regarding suitable test areas and the best way to proceed. He is test focused from day one and knows exactly what the testers are looking for and will drill this information into you until your driving skills are up to the required standard. So for those of you without a car, take note, it can be done on lessons alone with a good instructor like Kevin. Even my tester today said he is one of best instructors out there!

I had failed the test twice and I was unsure exactly what I was doing wrong. When I went to Kevin for lessons he really put me at ease and made it really clear with regard to what area's I needed to concentrate on to get the test. I found in the past that instructors overcomplicated things and because of that I got really hung up on the small things instead of concentrating on the really important things. Kevin quickly showed me what I needed to focus on and to not get too hung up on things that aren't overly important. I passed my test today (March 27th), mostly thanks to pre-test lessons with Kevin. I had been with several driving instructors previously, and failed my first test last September, largely due to errors not picked up by my instructor before the test. Once I got a date for my new test, I contacted Kevin for a couple of pretest lessons. He quickly put me at ease, pointed out the basic errors I was making (coasting etc.), and helped me master the reverse around the corner (which had been a thorn in my side!). On the lessons he was constantly monitoring my standard of driving, making sure that good habits became automatic. On February 11th 2010 I passed
my driving test, it was my first test and it was largely down to Kevin. I was in a bad car crash some years ago and never thought I would drive again. On meeting Kevin I explained the situation and we took it from there. He gave me the confidence to get back into a car (which was a miracle). He was so precise in getting me ready for my test that the only car I drove was his. Having failed my test in october '09 i needed to get some more lessons, before i did another test. The last company i had lessons with gave me two different instructors which ended up, with me getting conflicting information. And that resulted in the failure of my test. So i searched on goldenpages.ie for driving instructors in my area and national driving school was top of list. So i gave them a call, and arranged a lesson. Within the first lesson Kevin noticed my faults from my failed test and worked on them. Them four lessons later i felt confident about my next test. And sure enough my test came february '10. And what can i say..... I PASSED. Woohoo. Wouldnt have been possible without Kevin and would highly recommend his company for any learner drivers looking to pass your test. If you want to pass the driving test then Kevin is the man to go to it's as simple as that. Before i had lessons with Kevin, I was a nervous driver with little on the road experience and no chance of passing my test. After just 3 lessons I was confident in my driving ability, confident on what to expect when doing the driving test but above all I felt a better driver and more importantly a safer driver thanks to Kevin. There is no way I would have passed had it not been for Kevin. Thanks a lot Kevin and if I ever hear of someone needing lessons then it's over to you.

Kevin is a fantastic instructor. I passed the test with ease after 2 pre-tests with Kevin. I had attempted the test before and had pre-tests with numerous instructors in the past and found Kevin’s lessons excellent. In comparison to other instructors who picked on minor details and left me very nervous and quite frustrated for the test.. Kevin was clear and direct about what testers are looking for and after the pre test I was confident and relaxed and focused and absolutely breezed through the test. I sat my test last week and passed! Id reccomend national driving school, especially Kevin to anyone learning to drive or preparing for their driving test without hesitation! It was not the first time i'd done the test and before meeting Kevin i suffered from severe lack of confidence behind the wheel! After my first attempt at the test i hadn't driven in almost a year but even after the first lesson i was immediatley at ease. i cant stop going on telling anyone that will listen how great i think the national driving school especially kevin i failed my test the 1st time badly and had no confidence , i was left beliving i would never ever pass but then after reading the reviews about the national driven school i was very impressed and booked some lessons and wow what a difference they made within the 1st ten minutes kevin saw where i was going wrong and talked me though how to put it right. i really liked how straight to the point he was. not only did a pass but i only got two minor marks. it was the best money ive ever spent i have a better awareness off the road now and feel so much more safer driving my little girl around. thanks again kevin. ann , sundale tallaght read more >>

Just passed my test today. This was my second attemt, the first time i failed atrociously. It was particularly upsetting since i was driving since 14 ys, and felt pretty comfortable behind the wheel.
After searching the net i've found Kevin's school, and was really happy to learn that he used to be a tester himself. I only took 3 lessons, still passed my test with minimal mistakes.
I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially people need their license as quick as possible. read more >>

I've only been driving for 4 months and had done lessions before and had been told many different things on how to pass my test but Keven was amazing he knew what the tester wanted from you he does not only to teach you how to drive but also teachs you how to pass your test.
I had done one test and it had 14 grade 2 today I pass my test because of Keven and to prove how could he is I only had 3 lessions. If you want to pass your test Keven is the man.

I met Kevin three weeks before my test. My driving was not too good (to say the least!) even though a lot of money was previously spent on lessons with another driving school. Three weeks before my test, I had my first lesson with Kevin and he said I could not drive (that is after taking lesson with another school). I had a long way to go but with Kevin's help I got there - pink licence from the first attempt! Kevin managed to get rid of years of bad habits with only a few sessions. He is a smart teacher, a pleasure to learn with. He tirelessly corrected my mistakes to perfection. 11th Aug 2009. I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Kevin for helping me pass my test. I have been driving for 5 years and i had picked up ALOT of bad habits but 4hrs in the car with Kevin they were gone! I would recommend him as an instructor for both first time drivers and pre - tests. He was great at explaining things and never once did he make me feel stupid. After meeting him i immediately felt relaxed and at ease. I was very apprehensive about learning how to drive and as a result had put it off for years. When I finally decided to take the plunge, I spent a lot of time researching into who would be the best driving instructor to use. I came across Kevin on goldenpages.ie and after reading the reviews I decided to book a course of lessons. I don’t think I could have made a better choice. Kevin doesn’t have a standard run of the mill teaching routine, he assesses each student individually on their strengths and weaknesses and caters each lesson accordingly. He knows exactly what the examiners are looking for and is very familiar with all the test routes. Just passed my test yesterday and I know I couldn’t have done it without him. Having failed my first test I was apprehensive what was required for the test. Kevin talked me through precisely what was needed and gave me excellent instruction and driving tips. He put my previous instructor to shame. I would recommend Kevin highly!

I had three lessons with Kevin a couple of weeks before my test. After my first lesson i already felt like i learned so much. Kevin makes sure that you understand every turn, signal and position and makes learning easy. By far the best driving instructure out there! I passed my test on my first attempt with Leslie. I spoke to Kevin regarding engaging driving lesson with him and told him about my history and my requirements. Very quickly he setup my driving lessons 2 weeks prior the test date with Leslie, who is my instructor. He couldn't assign anyone better. Leslie is so good and experience. He assessed my driving skill and provide his recommendation to me on what is best to me with the aim that I will pass on the first attempt, and I did. I used National Driving School for series of lessons prior to test and found Kevin covered all the bases in preparing for the test. On the day I was confident of passing purely down to the lesson time and helping me understand what the testers are looking for. read more >>

Quiet simply kevin is the only reason I was able to pass my test. Only had time for one lesson with Kevin and was the best money I ever spent. Absolutely brilliant driving instructor.

Kevin is a great driving instructor. Initially I had only done 6 lessons and spent a year driving alone picking up many bad habits along the way. Two days before my first driving test i did 2 pre-tests with kevin and he gave me all the information i needed to pass the exam. He ironed out my faults and I passed first time thanks to him. My brother also passed first time having done a few pre-tests with kevin. He really knows what he is talking about. read more >>

This message is totally over due. I had my driving test approx. 2 months ago and passed my test on the second attempt. Peter was my driving instructor and words cannot describe his expertise and guidance. He is superb. I had approx 30 driving lessons in the past with other driving schools, which were needless to say a disaster. I only learned to drive when I got into the car with Peter. I had my driving test in Fonthill, I had never drove in the area in the past and it was a really tough route, but with the excellent guidance, teaching and demonstration I passed with flying colours. I will and have recommended Peter and the school to everyone I know. If you are looking for a great instructor, Peter is your man. Kevin is a fantastic driving instructor. I passed my first test today thanks to him. I had lessons with other instructors and everyone kept telling me how much of a great driver I was and that I would pass with flying colours but I knew myself I was making mistakes. Kevin straight away pointed out to me where and why I was making mistakes and helped me to fix them. I passed my test and am more confident in my driving thanks to him.
I would recommend him to everybody, when it comes to driving and passing driving tests he really knows what he talking about.

Sat my driving test today in Tallaght, for the first time, and passed. Having read the great reviews on this site about the National Driving School and Kevin in particular, I decided to call him and book a pretest. What a fantastic guy he is. I had two lessons with him and I can honestly say he gave me such confidence going into that test today it was amazing. The test today went exactly as Kevin said it would, almost down to the exact questions that were asked of me, he couldnt have prepared me more for it. I passed my test on the 1st of April all thanks to kevin!.I had about 10-12 lessons with kevin from last year up til the day i pased my test.Kevin showed me all my bad habits nd it made me feel more confident in myself driving.Kevin was very honest through out all of my lessons which helped me out alot.He made me feel very at ease with him in the car..Kevin explained to me exactly wat the examiner is going to be looking for on the day of the test and that was alot of help from kevin.he brought me around all the routes he said the examiner would bring me and he did which was very good cause i got so use to the roads doing the right thing all the time so that helped me alot all thanks to kevin again!!.Honestly if u want a instructor that will have u passing it for the first time go to Kevin forget the rest of them kevin is a brilliant instructor.Thanks so much kevin for eveythin if it wasnt for u i would of never passed my test..!!Steph;-] read more >>

i have been driving for ten years and sat my test for the second time and passed it. i sat my first test several years ago and found the whole lessons beforehand and test so horrific that i thought i'd never be able to pass it. i ended up getting a cancellation very early so i had time to do only one lesson before the test. i contacted kevin and he gave me a lesson at very short notice. what i learned in that hour was unbelievable. kevin has a god given talent for teaching driving, it only took him one hour to delete all the bad habits i had gathered over ten years !!! this man is fantasic at his job and i would recomend him to every person for lessons. thanks a million for everything kevin!!!! read more >>

I passed my test 2 weeks ago on my fifth attempt. I had used the same instructor for three out of four of the previous tests and after paying for a huge amount of lessons and being told i would have no problem in passing i still failed. Before my fifth attempt i googled driving instructors and came across Kevin in National Driving School and read the reviews and was very impressed and also could relate to alot as they had been in the same position as myself. I only had 2 lessons with Kevin but learnt more in those two lessons than any of the other numerous lessons that i had. Kevin was very good at demonstrating how i should be driving in the test to pass. He also made me feel very relaxed and confident in my driving. I was always very nervous going to my driving test but on the 5th attempt i felt very relaxed and this really helped with my test - this was down to Kevin. Kevin is really a good instructor,i woundnt have passed the test if it wasnt for a good lesson from him,he shows you exactly how to drive,good demostrastion,good controls,meaning being yourself,enjoy,drive the car the way you want,
thanks to him,now i have a full driving license, am sending my girlfriend for lesson to him too...
i recommend him to any student looking for a pass the first time they go for the test

I passed my test on 11th March. It was my 3rd time sitting it and had been to other instructors before but none were able to show me exactly what I needed to do to pass the test like Kevin & Leslie. I sat my test on Wednesday 25th February in Tallaght. It was my third time and I contacted Kevin about 4 weeks before the test for some lessons. I wanted a female instructor, but had read some great reviews about Kevin and decided to give him a call. Kevin was very friendly and relaxed and told me exactly what I needed to improve on before my test i.e. observation, coasting etc. I believe I was a safe / ok driver before I met Kevin however, I don’t think I would have passed without his guidance! On February 21st 2009 had my driving test. I was a bit of a nervous wreck as had done it previously but had failed - due to the usual bad habits like overuse of clutch. Anyway had 2 double lessons with Kevin who immediately took me in hand gave me great advice as to what was needed for me to pass the test etc. he is sooooo patient and is very clear with his instructions and is very friendly - u can ask him anything!!! anyway only for kevin i deff would not have passed. I Failed my first driving test a few months ago, i was always over using the clutch i had loads more bad habits that i couldent shake.
i had three lessons with kevin and passed my test on the 24th of feb i really dont think i would have if i didnt do lessons with kevin in the national driving school he makes the test seam easy i would definatley reccomend them to a friend and anyone that wants to ace the driving test im very impresed.

A work colleage of mine who past her test at 17yrs old from lessons from kevin recommended him to my mother who was to sit her test in december, my mother benefitted hugely from kevins advice/lessons and passed! With my own test on the 19th febuary i gave kevin a call. On the lessons kevin was very professional, explained all aspects of the driving test, cut out my bad driving habits and i passed my test first time. I couldn't recommend Kevin highly enough. I've been driving for about 1 year and needed some lessons prior to the test to get rid of all the bad habits I picked up. After failing to pass my driving test in first attempt, I booked a session with National Driving school a day before the test. The driving instructor, Leslia was excellent. Covered many routes used by the testers within an hour and explained everything in detail, cleared up all my doubts and boosted my confidence level. He made reversing around the corner an easy task. I sat my test on the 29th January and passed !!! I was so excited as it was my third attempt. I had Kevin as an instructor and Peter once and they are both excellent teachers , I definately do not think I would have passed if I had not done my lessons with them. I was doing a few things wrong like not using my gears properly and going wide turning left and after 4 lessons was much better. It was my second time doing the test, first time in Naas and first time with Kevin. Everything was explained so clearly and concisely. Would highly recommend the lesson just before the test. Everything that was said in the lesson was asked in the test (like all the little buttons in the car that you are not sure about!). I honestly didn't think it would be as stress free as it was. I passed my test on Friday 23rd January. I was very nervous as it was my second attempt and didnt feel confident. I called Kevin and arranged some pre tests. Straight away Kevin pointed out my faults (which my last instructor in Lucan didnt which i turn caused me to fail the 1st time). Kevin was honest and told me i had many bad habits but within a few lessons he had them sorted. Honestly he is the best driving instructor, if you want to pass your test book Kevin. I had 2 lessons with Peter before the test and I found him very helpful and understanding. It was my second time taking the test and I would definitely reccomend anyone taking their test to take lessons with either Peter or Kevin before hand. I'm from Uruguay, have been driving for more than 15 years but failed on my first attempt because I didn't know what they were looking for. Thursday 22nd January. I'm 20 and I passed first time ! Booked 5 lessons prior to the test with Kevin and I have to say it was definatly down to the time and skill of Kevin's teaching that I passed. He explained the test so well that I wasn't nervous. He gave me the confidence I needed not only to pass the test but also in my every day driving. I passed my test on the 19th of January 09, after three failed attempts. I had been driving for a few years and had picked up bad habits so I started lessons with Kevin for my fourth attempt and he helped me pass, by improving my reverse
around the corner
, observation and gears. I would recommend any one that has failed a few times to give Kevin a call. I am over the moon to have got it, thanks again to Kevin.

passed my test on monday 19 of jan and still have the grin!but i have 2 say there is not a hope in hell i would have gotten it without kevin from the national driving school.i had major problems with using my pedals properly when movin off and was in constant fear of cutting out!!kevin had this little problem sorted out after only 2 lessons and all my other little bad habits were gone after the third.and all through the test i could hear him in my ear telling me what to do.i highly reccommend kevin 2 anyone with a test coming up,anyone who wants 2 pass that is!!thanks kevin..yr a star! sarah,tallaght. read more >>
