About Foróige

Foróige is the leading youth orientated organisation in Ireland. We work with approximately 57,000 young people between the ages of 10 – 18 every year through clubs led by volunteers and staff lead youth projects.

The organisation was founded in 1952 and since then has expanded to operate in 26 counties in Ireland with a network of 531 Foróige clubs, 125 youth projects, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters programme and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship.

We work with all young people through our general services and also provide additional support to vulnerable young people.

Get Involved in your Community

We have a wide range of activities and clubs to get young people to take an active role in society including Foróige clubs, volunteer led youth cafes, special interest groups, feeder clubs and youth fora. These activities help to develop talents, skills and character while encouraging young people to shape the society in which they live.

Foróige offers additional targeted services including Teen Parent Support Programmes, Garda Youth Diversion Projects and Neighbourhood Youth Projects. These services assist young people in dealing with issues arising from poverty, marginalisation, social exclusion, youth crime, under-achievement at school, early school leaving, substance abuse and domestic difficulties.
