I've eaten here a minimum of five times..each time from the first only because I hadn't time before getting there for a movie. The food is mediocre and over priced for what is little more then 'cafffe' food read more >>

Lovely cafe/restaurant located in the Irish Film Institute, nice place to visit before or after a visit to the cinema. It's open to the public, a hidden gem in the heart of Temple Bar, worth dropping in even if you have no interest in the movies! read more >>

Central location and amazing building with a glass roof and stone walls. I love meeting friends here for a coffee, which is really nice by the way. You can ask for a WIFI card as well which allows you for an hour's free connection, if Eircom's hot spot's working that day ! The only thing I might say that can be not so good is that I feel it is short staffed and I usually need to chase a waiter to be served. It does have the pleasant flipside that no one will clear your table or interrupt you while you are having that so-important conversation with your friend. read more >>

I really like this bar and love its location. Its great to settle in here before or after a movie or if lucky both occasions. Staff are average. Food is reasonable enough with some good deals going on. I love the rustic design too. read more >>

I once went here before a movie, not expecting much from the food as cinema is their primary concern; I was pleasantly surprised.. I had the falafel, which was absolutely delicious and came with a mouth watering side of garlic mayo. Service was also quick and efficient. It can get busy at times. read more >>

The IFI is a great place for a drink when you're around town, especially after you've just seen a movie. They have some great food deals aswell. Very good food without going into extortionate prices

I am a member of the IFI and would recommend anyone to opt for the membership also. Gorgeous cafe bar there but finding a table can often be a task. The screens are lovely too but I adore the upstairs screen, it's so intimate, it's like being in someones sitting room. read more >>

One of my favourite cinemas in Dublin, no actually, my favourite! Always has brilliant and quirky films that you won't get in main stream cinemas. They have a lovely cafe and bar also that is good for a bit to eat even if you are not going to the cinema! Well worth trying this out if you like your films, or cake!! read more >>

Great place to come for some food after watching a good film, its actually worth coming to at any time, even if you havent watched a movie. The food is delicious and very affordable. Its usually busy enough but theres still a few empty seats. I would definitely come back here any time i'm back in the city and I recommend it to my friends too! read more >>

This is a great spot to have a debate on the film you have just seen or to meet up for a chat before hand. IT's always full of arty film loving types and you could be forgiven for thinking you've landed in New York.

Really great bar and restaurant. I tend to go here after I've seen a film at the IFI but a few times I've come here just for the excellent and reasonably priced food. The staff are really friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. Overall it's just a really fantastic restaurant. read more >>

Good food at very reasonable prices particularly given the location. Sometimes service can be a bit slow but overall worth the trouble! Nice spot for drinks - they have a really cool little outdoor area looking out over meeting house square which fills up fairly quickly. read more >>

I really like the IFI bar. Always had good food in it, beats the popcorn and soggy nachos of your multiplex's thats for sure. Nice place for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Eat, drink, relax, watch a movie. All good. Only slight quibble is that they stop serving food in the afternoon for a while read more >>

The food here is very reasonably priced. The homemade fries are thick cut with the skins on- garlic dip a must. If you are a member you will get a discount on any of the food but not the drinks. Make sure you tell them when you order as they won't accept it when you go to pay. read more >>
