I have been a customer of Liffey St salon for almost 4 years now. Always happy with my hair and the service. Staff are really friendly and helpful and always offer good advice on what you are thinking of. You pay a little more then other salons however it is totally worth it. Leanne normally looks after me and I love my hair every time she does it. Very talented team of hairdressers. read more >>

Best cut and colour I've ever had. Ericka cut my hair and she was excellent, she listened to exactly what I wanted, talked me through the whole process and gave me styling tips. The atmosphere was friendly and the price was extremely reasonable! Couldn't recommend it highly enough! read more >>

The staff really listen to you when you're telling them what you want. I'm not sure about the head massage thing, I didn't notice any head massage during my wash (?). The atmosphere is a tiny bit tacky (all the mtv girls aloud videos etc), but it is nice to be offered glasses of juice and tea. I got a full head of highlights, and I have to admit at first I got the shock of my life - it turned out a lot blonder than I wanted. But after a month, it really toned down and is now a nicer more 'natural' color. The cut and blow dry were great. read more >>

Went in there for foils, my hair broke in parts. It was way to bright and they tried to tone it down, that proberly is what broke it. Won't ever go there again. Not happy.

I got a great groupon deal or city deal whatever it's called - €25 for a wash/cut/finish and a conditioning treatment. Although the conditioning treatment I'm not hugely convinced on - they didn't leave it in my hair for longer than a minute so not sure how much conditioning it could have done. That said the girls in there were really nice. Erica who cut my hair did exactly what I asked. They came around with sweets a couple of times and you can get wine/hot chocolate/tea/coffee whatever while you're in there for free. It was super busy as I was there on a Thursday evening so to be expected but I did have to wait quite a while but I just read a magazine and was happy enough.
I would definitely go back. read more >>

I love House Of Color, especially the one on Liffey St. I started bleaching my own hair when I was quite young and after a while it became so brittle and damaged that it was just snapping off. I went in here with zero money in my wallet just asking what I should do to fix it, most places wouldn't care about helping if you're not paying but the girl in here went out of her way for me. She wrote down the name of a number of products to help my hair and even found stockists in my area because I wasn't living in the city at the time. She also gave me her name and number incase I needed to get her advise again. I never did need to as I bought all of the products she recommended and they worked a treat. read more >>

LOVE!My friend told me to come here after I had a disastrous hair colouring in, and the stylist was extremely understanding through all my tears and trauma, and managed to get my hair back looking very decent! It really is an experience to get hair done here, and they truly put the effort in-they make you a sandwich if you're hungry, and have tampons in the bathroom! The hot chocolate is also divine... read more >>

House of Colour is in my opinion one of the top salons in this city. Gietting your hair styled is a real experience. The stylists are extremely well trained and the colourists are excellent. They know their clients likes and dislikes and they listen to what you want. Your hair style seems to last longer when it is done with expertise. I would recomment this salon to any one. read more >>

Very disappointed as House of Colour supposedly has a good reputation. So, maybe its just this particular branch. I booked a wash & blow dry last minute, & advised i only had 30 minutes to be in & out. Its was only a wash and blow dry & it never takes that long. When the girl finally came & washed my hair she offered me all these treatments, i assume they were free so said yes. Luckily she advised there was charge of €15 for the treatments. Once she started drying my hair she tried to persuade me have my hair in different styles, i had to tell to do my hair exactly how id asked. I enjoy going to the hairdresses, but this is one of the mostly stressful experiences ive ever had & they charged me €10 more that my normal hairdressers does. I definetly will not be going here again. read more >>

I have been a loyal House of Colour client for almost 3 years. The girls are professional and offer some really good advise to what would suit you best. Although it is a little more in price than other salons its well worth it. I have recommended my friends and family to try the salon and all say the same. read more >>
