Excellent hotel. Service is really good with pleasant staff, even the hotel owner chips in behind the bar. Rooms are well decorated. Location could not be any better in Dublin

The Gresham Hotel is an exquisite hotel. Location couldnt be anymore central. A step outside the hotel will place you on O ' Connell's street. Rooms are nicely decorated and always clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and welcoming to cap off a brilliant hotel. read more >>

Not a fan of the Gresham Hotel at all. Stayed here with my family on a trip to Dublin for one night (thankfully that was all we stayed there for!) Let me just say before I begin my review that I think the Gresham is definitely a business-orientated hotel and should not be used by anyone other than business men unless you want to feel like a second-class guest (even though you're paying just as much as them for your stay)
Upon arriving we got the key to our room within 15 minutes, which was the only positive thing about the hotel. We had many bags, a folded child's stroller, a baby, and no free hands, the staff seen that we were struggling and nobody offered to help.
Our room was located on the highest floor, at the very end of the building. Not joking - it was the last room on that floor and up flights of stairs that the lift didn't go to. A couple of hotel staff passed us on the way and not even one offered to hold open the door. After eventually getting to our room, we had more disappointment. The room was very small and cramped...and a double room. We booked and paid for a twin room. They were overbooked so we had to share a double bed in a room with no air conditioning, we weren't even offered any kind of discount for their mistake.
Of course when I wrote of my negative experience on a popular hotel review website the manager apologized and offered me a discount for any future visits but too little too late. I haven't been back since and have no plans to. I would rather stay in a 1 star hostel.
I think the hotel is very overrated and not as "classy" as some make it out to be. I would not put it in the same class as the other Dublin hotels in this price range. read more >>

Great hotel- very nicely decorated. The staff are great - I left my phone behind in the toilets and the receptionist kept it for me until I could collect it. The afternoon tea here is really nice and Toddy's bar has such a nice, warm ambience.Handy location too right in the city centre. read more >>

The Gresham Hotel lends a much needed sense of quality and class to O'Connell Street in Dublin. I've been here loads of times for drinks and food with my family. The high tea is yum and it feels very luxurious to sit in the big chairs eating tiny scones... read more >>

The Gresham Hotel in Dublin is perhaps the finest of Dublin City Centre Hotels. Situated in the heart of Dublin City, the hotel is located on O'Connell Street and close to Croke Park, Temple Bar, the IFSC and the new Convention Centre Dublin. The hotel is close to the shopping districts of the city making it the ideal Dublin City Centre Hotel for your business or leisure needs. read more >>

Went here for the jazz weekend recently on the saturday night. It really did have a great set up, there were loads of different rooms, some seated some not. There were bars in the hallways even so wasn't too difficult to get a drink.
They were also serving hot dogs in there! I was impressed at how they handled the big crowd in fairness would recommend it for the jazz. read more >>

Ive been to the Metropole numerous times over the years, for different occasions. I even took classes here for school, when our school got flooded! Its a good spot for atmosphere though. I caught a few world cup games here and it was always jointed. Next weekend if the jazz weekend, and the Metropole is one of the hotspots, so expect it to be packed. read more >>
