I had my final lesson this morning with Gerry and I have just passed my test!
I would have been unlikely to have passed so soon without gerry's proffessional instruction particularly as I stared to learn later in life ( and very nervous) Gerry got the job done! read more >>

HI, I think by the looks of the shear volume of posts that perhaps Gerry is posting himself on this site. I found Gerry to be average, slightly impatient late in the day, and unreliable as 2 times he failed to collect me for a lesson. I actually used Gerry from the strength of comments on this site. which i now know to be misleading. not just me i know 2 other people who feel the same way. read more >>

Just passed my test on Tuesday on my first attempt! Gerry's a great professional, and an even better person =). He pointed out everything I was doing wrong, and most important, taught me to do it correctly. Perfectionist but patient, would really recommend him to anyone. Thank you for the masterclasses amigo!

Great instructor, I just passed my driving test today.It was my first attempt. Gerry explained my what I was doing wrong and gave few important tips how to adjust my old habbits. Great stuff. Thanks.

UNBELIEVABLE !!!! ....I just pass my test yesterday.... I am so happy, thanks to Gerry's advices ....(I took only 3 lessons with him, he told me that i neeed between 4-5 but I could not take them because of the weather conditions and I have to travel from Balbriggan).... So if you want to pass your test he is the one you should choose . Thanks to Gerry i aced my driving test. I only got 2 lessons with him but i learned more in 1 of his than with all my others before him. He pointed out things i was doing wrong which no one had showed me even though i was doing them all the time, so all in all, Gerry thanks a million :) and i fully recomend him to ANYONE as he is a perfectionist and makes sure you pass :):) read more >>

I am a foreign national who was driving on provisional license for past 2 years and failed on 2 occasions. Thank God finally I met Gerard who corrected my procedures and put me at ease while driving. Gerard is a genuine very decent and great instructor. He is very caring and at the same time a reasonably tough instructor with excellent teaching skills. I would highly recommend him. Best instructor you can get! Don't waste time and money. GO TO GERRY!!!. He's a perfectionist, he managed to fix up all my bad habits and taught me all the procedures efficiently. Gerry has a proffesional approach, helped me improved my general motoring skills, pointed exactly what I should work on, thanks to him ,getting me to a test level, I approach my goal by passing a test first time!And even my not great english was not a barrier for him... I passed my test today on the first time, all thanks to Gerry's help and instruction. I only had 4lessons with Gerry, but he managed to fix up all my bad habits and get me a great test. He's really friendly and he put me at ease before the test (which was amazing as I was a nervous wreck before!). He's really honest about your driving abilities and it made me practise my bad points more because I knew exactly what they were looking for in the exam.

Simply Excellent and the best teacher in Dundalk. And also te cheapest one, because Gerry knows he is the best. I tried other teachers for higher cost, none of them were as good as Gerry. I did my driving test today. In result I get CLEAN SHEET-ZERO FAULTS. I think that explains everything, just simply choose First Choice School of Motoring.

I could not recommend gerry highly enough!! I've only been driving about 5 months and got it today first time round! he was so helpful every lesson and was a great help to calm me before my test today! Gerry is a brilliant instructor, he makes you fully aware of all your strengths and weaknesses to ensure you are fully prepared for your test. He gives you constructive criticism and encourages you to work in what he believes are areas to develop. He is very easy going, good craic and more importantly he is value for money. I was a complete beginner when I started lessons with Gerry and after being in the car a few minutes I was completely at ease. Without a doubt I think the best part of the driving experience with him was how much he pushed me to do the best I could. As a result I passed my test, first time, a few months after starting with him. I would completely recommend him to anyone looking for lessons especially for those, like me, who were very nervous!! I was a beginner driver without a car and no driving experience. Gerry immediately put me at ease and in no time I was driving on the main roads in Dundalk. Gerry is a great instructor; listen to Gerry and if he tells you you're ready for the test, then you are. He told me I wasn't ready, I went for the test and failed. My fault totally. Just passed my test y'day, first time. When i came to Jerry i was a complete beginner. Jerry firstly showed made the basic procdures and build my confidence up. At the end of the first lesson he had me doing roundabouts, which was a miracle! Throughouts the weeks Jerry taught me the essential procedures needed for passing the test. When my test date came i still was unsure in my abilities as a driver. However Jerry assured me i had the skills and procedures in place which the testers were looking for. Just after passing my test this morning - first time! Huge thanks to Gerry for all his help and patience over the last couple of months. I'd never driven until I started lessons with Gerry. He has been very calm and patient with me through all the mistakes I made - especially at the beginning!!
He always told me exactly where I was going wrong and helped me fix these areas until I felt confident. I feel like a competent driver now thanks to his help.
I will definitely be recommending Gerry to my friends!

I got a called for my test for a cancelation so had no time to prepare. I done 3 lessons with Gery and there is no way I would have passed if I hadnt done them. Gerry's a great instructor, he's calm, clear and patient. Gerry genuinely wants you to pass, I had another instuctor a few years back who was only interested in getting as many lesson from you as possible but Gerry only wants to give as many as you need to pass. just after passing my test cannot believe took only a few lessons with gerry at literally the last minute and he had me on the right rd ! would definitely recommend this driving school to anyone do not honestly think you would get a better instructor in dundalk and i have had a few in the past gerry does not make you nervous tells you exactly what you need to know in the simplest terms possible and is excellent value for money he fitted in everything within a space of two lessons thanks a million gerry -joan! read more >>
