I paid 110 euro for a pair of Ecco shoes and after 3 months one of them started creaking noticably to the point where it was embarrassing to wear them. I returned it to the shop for examination by the returns dept, it was examined by the complains dept and the area manager with a response of "no manufacturing defect" and an insulting 20% discount offerred on the next pair offered as a gesture of good will - I told them to stuff it and throw the shoes in the bin. Small ecco shop not much of a selection but am thinking the ecco range is limited anyway. Unbelievably comfortable shoes though, even comfier than clarks. I got the Ecco Yak walking boots before christmas best investment ever, wear them everyday. Also bought some ski boots in the sale for 20€. The styles can be a little old fashioned for shoes but trust me about the walking boots. read more >>
Finally they’ve upped their stock to be a bit more fashionable. Still not at the top end of the latest trends but definitely a bit less dowdy, regardless of target age group. I have always thought the comfort of ecco’s should be brought across to all age groups like hush puppies have done in recent years.
