Was here on Friday for the first time just gone. SO SO
The first kick in the face was the e20 in...was shocked clubs still get away with that one!
Secondly the price of the drink...one of the highest priced in city centre. Then there were 3 or 4 djs on but the good ones didnt come on until after 1.30am which left us 1 hour of proper decent dancy house music for e20...not worth it in that sense.
Club itself is kinda kul layout but sort out the price at door, on drink...and none of those crap warm up dj..when i hit a dance music club...i wanna be aon the dance floor all night...not having a nap in the corner for the first hour!
Will be back though to try again in the future read more >>
Always have a great time here. It's a decent size venue, not too big not too small. I've been to a few bands here and you always get a decent spot and good view no matter how packed it gets. The club nights are also great on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the sound is good too. read more >>
i think the Button Factory is a pretty cool wee venue for gigs. I've been to see a good few bands here and it's great. It empties out pretty fast after the gig though so you're prob best to go to somewhere close by for a few apres gig drinks... read more >>
Went here for a concert recently and was pretty impressed. It's a smaller venue, but perfect for lesser known bands, comedy, club nights etc. It's right in Temple Bar and easy to find. The sound was quite good and there is good sight lines from pretty much anywhere in the place. Bar is right as you enter and good for getting a quick drink during a show. Bar staff seemed friendly and adequate for the crowd on the night we were there. read more >>
Great venue for a gig, one of the best in the city. It used to be the Temple Bar Music Centre. Only loss is that after the gig, this horrible Indie music comes on and very... Rudely dressed underage kids come in to get pissed.
However, if you have a chance to see a band you like here, go for it. The sound quality is great, and it's a nice small venue! read more >>
I do like the Button Factory. I've been lucky enough to be there to see some real quality lesser known bands. The venue itself is pretty cool for people like myself who are slightly vertically challenged cos there is a couple of tiers to the floor. It's a simple space, bar area as soon as you get inside, then an area with some seats and then the main dancefloor. Great outside area upstairs too which I only discovered on my last visit. I suppose it's all about what's on really. I've only been to see bands but they also have good comedy gigs and lots of good club nights going on too. You don't get run of the mill pop crap in the Button Factory. A couple of small prob - I find the bar can be understaffed and I've never seen anybody making buttons either. read more >>
I saw Des Bishop here during the week - a decent sized venue - maybe the size of Vicar Street. Nice spot for it right in the middle of temple bar. Nothing too hectic going on but it does serve it's purpose just fine. Maybe it wasn't packed but the place felt very spacious and comfy (I was up on the balcony) and a short walk to the bar which is always good. read more >>
This is a great venue. The view is good, whatever you are, the staff are friendly and the acoustic is great. There are always nice gigs there. Worthing going to and I will be back.

This is another great spot for some quality gig-going in Dublin.
I've been to The Button Factory a good few times for gigs and have always enjoyed it. It's one of the smaller venues around- holding a few hundred people.
Last two gigs I caught there were The Walkmen and Fred. For The Walkmen the place was packed out, but despite that fact i still had a great view of the stage, and because of the size of the venue was still quite close to the stage.
For the Fred gig the crowd was considerably smaller - which was actually quite nice - the comfy seats along the side are a welcome addittion to the venue.
Sound quality in there is great, and it's always easy to get served at the bar. I've yet to head along to one of the club nights - it's on my to-do list! read more >>
